Autumnal Beauty Bits : The Lip Edit
As an all-around beauty obsessive, it’s no surprise that one of my favourite things about the changing of the seasons is Autumnal makeup. From deep berry lip shades to sparkly festive eyeshadow, Autumn / Winter is definitely my favourite time of year. This season on the blog, I have decided to create a mini makeup series dedicated to my go-to autumnal beauty bits. Within this series, I will be sharing my ultimate favourite lip shades, eyeshadows, and base products to use at this glorious time of year. Today I thought that I would kick start this mini-series by having a little ramble about my favourite beauty product of all – lipstick! Let’s get started!
Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick – 107
Ever since first dipping my toe into the waters of the beauty world as a teen, Rimmel has been my ultimate ride or die brand for lipstick. They really just seem to ace it, every single time without fail! This beautiful Kate Moss edition matte lippie in shade 107 is a vibrant berry dream. For me this product ticks all the boxes, it is creamy, light, and super long lasting. Its cool pink undertones also make your pearly whites extra shiny and bright. Way to go Rimmel!
Colourpop – Ultra Matte Liquid Lip in Notion
If you are on the lookout for high quality, purse-friendly products – Colourpop is the store for you! The brand offers virtually every lip colour and formula under the sun and for £5 pop can you really go wrong? I particularly love their Ultra Matte liquid lipstick. It is without a doubt the most longlasting lip products I have ever tried out. These lippies are also extremely pigmented – so much so that no lip liner is needed. I would, however, recommend popping a little lip balm on prior to application as they can be a little drying – especially during the winter months.
NYX Liquid Suede Metallic Matte in Biker Babe
Now this lipstick is a little bit different from the rest. Upon first application, you may think that the product has a metallic matte finish. However, upon smacking your lips together once the lipstick is dry, little specks of shimmer and glitter begin to appear. How awesome is that? I picked up this product whilst visiting one of NYX’s standalone stores in Barcelona last month. Sadly, I have yet to see these drop in the UK. This lippie, like the Colour Pop Ultra Mattes is super long lasting and is really different from anything else in my collection.
Rimmel – The Only 1 Matte Lipstick in “Trendsetter.
Yep,yet another Rimmel lippie! This terracotta nude shade is perfect for everyday wear throughout Autumn and Winter. Again, Rimmel have hit the nail on the head when it comes to formula, it is ultra nourishing yet extremely long-wearing.
Charlotte Tilbury – Glastonberry
If I were a lipstick, I’m pretty sure I’d be this one. To be honest, I was initially sold by its amazing name and pretty rose gold packaging. I mean.. Glatonberry? That is frickin’ genius. However, upon trying the lippie out for myself I fell even deeper in love with its texture and formula. Miss Tilbury has killed the game yet again with this one!
