Cult Beauty Bits to add to you Christmas List

Last Wednesday night I was lucky enough to head to The St. Enoch’s Centre Glasgow’s Christmas press event – oh la la. At the event, I was introduced to some of the centres top fashion and beauty picks for the festive season. From beautiful beauty bits from the likes of Bobby Brown, The Body Shop, Guerlain and more to fab fashion finds from some of the best high street giants, it truly was the ultimate gift giving grotto! Throughout the night we were well and truly spoiled by the lovely team St Enochs as we browsed through everything that they have on offer. The team even set up a snow scene photo booth for us to capture our night which was complete with a ring light and all – I mean, what more could a blogger ask for?

As I had such a lovely time, today I thought that I would share some of my favourite beauty bits which are available at the centre this festive season. This lineup contains some of my all time favourite makeup and skincare products as well as a few of my recent beauty obsessions. I hope that you enjoy!

Estee Lauder Double Wear

First up, my “OG” party season bestie – Estee Lauder Double Wear. Whilst I tend to opt for a light-medium coverage foundation for my everyday makeup base, when it comes to party season I like to look for something that has a much higher coverage. For me, Estee lauder’s Double Wear ticks all the boxes. It gives the most flawless finish to the skin, it lasts all through the night and provides a high coverage base like no other.

Guerlain – Mon Guerlain

Anyone who knows me (irl) will know that Guerlain’s Insolence is my favourite fragrance of all time. It is a scent that I have repurchased time and time again since I was a teen. Therefore, I was in my element when I was able to chat to one of the brands lovely business development managers, and learn a little bit more about the fragrance house for myself. I was also introduced to the fastest growing, number one new ladies fragrance of 2017 – Mon Guerlain. With this particular scent, each note has been designed to melt into the skin to give rise to a unique alchemy that represents the personality of the women who wears it – like an invisible tattoo. With notes of Carla Lavender, Sambac Jasmine, Vanilla and Australian Sandalwood, it is simply dreamy. My beloved Insolence now has some pretty tough competition!

If you are interested in picking some up for yourself or as a gift, Debenhams stores have a fab offer on at the moment in which you can save over £40 when you pick up this 100ml and 30ml gift pack.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Glow Mask

Personally I feel that the skincare and face masks make fantastic gifts – especially for those who are alway on the go and could do with a little pamper time. When it comes to skincare products, I am all about radiant finishes and glow boosting ingredients. I’m a huge fan of The Body Shop’s skincare in general but this Himalayan Charcoal Glow mask is a holy grail staple of mine. The charcoal base of the mask draws out any impurities whilst the green tea and tea tree extracts refine the appearance of pores for visibly glowing skin.

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Eye

Again, Kiehl’s Midnight recovery eye is a star product for me. As someone who drinks wayy too little water and stays up a little later than they should, a key part of my skincare routine is a good eye cream. Upon trying various brands and formulas, I found it pretty tricky to find one which had visible results. Well, this was until I took Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery eye for a spin. I’ve been using this product for a good few months now, during which time it has become an essential for me. This little tube also lasts an absolute lifetime too. If I were to pick one Kiehl’s products to introduce to my friends and family, it would most definitely be this.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

Unless you have been hiding under a rock for the past decade or so, there’s a good chance you will have already heard of this wonder product. Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish has been making major waves in the blogger / vlogger community for quite a while now, and boy is it worth the hype! As a skincare enthusiast (is that a thing?), I love trying out new lotions and potions. However, I always find myself wandering back to this coveted cleanser.. It just does the job like no other and leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean!

Bourjois Velvet Lipsticks

Now, these are a more recent discovery for me but have quickly become one of my favourite lip products of all time. In fact, I’ve even written a whole post about them! The formula of these newly released lippes is like nothing I’ve ever really tried before. They’re ultra long wearing, super light on the lips and when it comes to pigmentation – they pack an epic punch!

Collection Eyes Discovered Palette

Whilst whipping up this little gift guide, I thought it might be a good idea to feature a lineup of great gifts for every price range. This had me thinking a lot about the beauty bits I consider the “best of the best” from the highstreet / drugstore. For me, there were a few Collection products that made my list from the coveted Lasting Perfection Concealer to the brand’s newly released gel lipsticks.  However, this pallette seemed to top them all. I have a handful of these mini shadow selections now in a variety of finishes and I have been amazed by the pigmentation and overall quality of the shades. These would make a great stocking stuffer or secret santa gift for the makeup lover in your life!

Benefit Brow Zings

The power of a good set of brows should never be underestimated – and who wouldn’t want the gift of bangin’ brows for Christmas? I am a huge fan of Benefit’s entire brow range and the brand’s Brow-zings taming and shaping kit is no exception! Within this little kit there is an ultra fine brow powder, a tinted brow wax, a double ended angled brush, the cutest pair of tweezers you ever did see, oh and a mega magnifying mirror. What more can a gal ask for?

I hope you enjoyed this little gift guide and that it filled you with some gifting inspiration for the festive season. Not done reading just yet?
