Travel and Lifestyle

Now that’s what I call December

As far as weeks go, this one has been pretty fab! So naturally I thought I would blog a little bit about it. As I will not be participating in Blogmas this month (how do you people do it?), I thought that it might be nice to publish a little “Week in the life of” post – highlighting a handful of the best bits from the past seven days. I really enjoy reading this type of content so I thought it would be pretty cool to share my own take. If you fancy having a little nosy into my week just keep on readin’.

Brunchin’ and Bloggin’ Friends

At the beginning of this week, I headed for brunch with the lovely Charlotte from Colours and Carousels. As we had only really crossed paths whilst working our butts off at AG fitness bootcamp classes, it was so nice to be able to sit and have a good old chat over some tasty brunch. There really is something pretty cool about meeting people who share your passions and who can relate to all of your #bloggerprobs. Prior to our Brunch date, in some strange turn of events, the Scottish weather seemed to be on our side which meant that we also managed to shoot some outfit snaps for each other too. It was a Christmas miracle! I believe that both of our posts will be going live this week, so keep your eyes peeled for those!

Blogosphere Magazine

As you may have spotted over on Instagram, my copy of the fabulous Blogosphere Magazine arrived on Friday – which would explain my lack of social media presence over the weekend… Since hearing that Casey Neistat had made the cover of the mags latest issue, I could not wait for it to pop through my letter box. I have followed Casey’s career for quite some time now and I am truly inspired by his unique and tenacious approach to digital media. Over the past few days, I have been glued to this fantastic mag and have been left ultra inspired by the abundance of creative geniuses featured within. I would definitely recommend picking a copy up for yourself.

Festive Events

This week I attended my first Christmas event of the season at the St Enoch’s Centre Glasgow. Throughout the event we were truly spoiled whilst we browsed the centres gift giving winter wonderland. This night was definitely one of the best blogger events I have attended. Each of the organisers and brand representatives were so lovely and the space was set out beautifully. There was even a photo booth area complete with artificial snow – which made for the most epic boomerangs! I had such an amazing night and can’t thank the lovely St. Enoch’s team enough for inviting me along. A full post with all the deets is coming your way on Tuesday.

A Fresh Look

For quite a while now I have been looking to switch up the design of my blog. The first “to-do” on my blog DIY list? To create a shiny new blog header. Since creating my blog I’ve always felt that my logo/ header was a little “meh”. However, this week, I set a little time aside to play around with some new colour schemes, fonts and themes in hopes of creating a logo that is a litte more reflective of my style . After some brainstorming I decided on the header that you can now see above (woo!). Whilst I know that isn’t the most complex or arty design, I am really digging it and feel that it is a lot more …well, me. At the moment, I am also on the lookout for a snazzy new layout, so keep your peepers peeled for some ch ch ch changes coming your way soon!

Afternoon Tea

The cherry on the cake of this lovely week? A visit to Glasgow’s Willow Tea Rooms with my partner in crime! This Saturday my friend Karen and I headed to their Buchanan Street location for a spot of afternoon tea. This was something that had been on staycation my to-do list for quite a while now so I was delighted when Glasgow’s Leading Attractions got in touch and asked if I would like to pop in for a visit. We had such a nice time catching up over a delicious spread of toasty hot drinks and tasty treats (would you just look at those meringues!). I can’t believe that I have lived in Glasgow my entire life yet I have only just visited this iconic attraction!

I hope you enjoyed this little insight into my week. Do you enjoy reading this type of content too?  I’d love to make this more of a regular thing.

Not done reading just yet? Not to worry, I have a whole host of new fashionbeauty and lifestyle content here on my site. I would love for you to check it out! Wanna see what goes on behind the blog?  Why not pop over to Twitter or Instagram and say hello!
