Mothers Day Gift Guide 2018
March 11th … does that ring any bells? Yep, that’s right it’s Mother’s day 2018. If you’re anything like me, seeing mothers / fathers day gifts appearing in the seasonal aisles of the supermarkets always seems to send me into a mini panic – have I missed it? Is it that time of the year already? However this year, to my surprise I am pretty well prepared. So much so that I’ve decided to whip up my very own mother’s day gift guide, filled with an abundance of treats for even the most magical of mamas out there.
I have to say when it comes to gifting, beauty gifts are definitely my favourite kind to give (and receive for that matter). I love the idea of picking out something that is a little bit lux – a treat that your receiver may not have picked up for themselves. With this in mind, below I have curated a lineup of some of the best pamper products on the market from heavenly natural hair care to blissful bath bombs. I hope you enjoy!
Body and Strength Shampoo L’Occitane, Repairing Hair Duo – L’Occitane, Camomile Cleansing Balm – The Bodyshop, Moringa Body Butter – The Bodyshop, Midnight Recovery Oil – Kiehl’s , Midnight Recovery Eye – Kiehl’s , Rose Oil Blend – Pixi, Liquid Rose Gold – Alpha H, Drink Up Overnight Mask – Origins, Meet your Mask – Peter Thomas Roth , The Buffet – The Ordinary
Haircare – Speaking of ultra lush beauty bits, firstup on my pamper product gift list is L’occitane’s range of natural shampoos and conditioners. Packed with essential oils and strengthening amino acids – these fab hair care bits leave hair looking fuller and heather whilst feeling super strong and silky soft – what more can a girl ask for eh?
Body – The Bodyshop – as I mentioned in my Cult beauty bits blog post, I feel like The Body Shop is another brand that seems to ace it every time. In my opinion, the store’s body and facial skincare bits are some of the best on the high street. They contain high quality, cruelty free ingredients and are sold at super purse friendly price points. A handful of my all time favourites from The Body Shop include their Body Butters, the Chamomile skincare range and last but not least – the heavenly Oil of life collection.
Skin – Again, I believe that skincare is a great treat to both give and receive. From masks to exfoliators to moisturisers and glow-boosting serums, there is a multitude of fantastic lotion and potions available on the market. Within this little roundup, I have included some of the best offerings a handful of my favourite skincare brands such as Kiehl’s, Pixi and Origins.
Sleepy – Lush, Rhubarb and Ginger Liqueur – Edinburgh Gin, Raspberry Gin Liqueur – Edinburgh Gin , Bath Caddy – Etsy, Incredible Mum – Lush, Honey Mummy Gift – Lush, Pretty as a Picture Gift – Lush, Pomegranate Noir Candle – Jo Malone , Candle Tin – Anthropologie , Pillow Mist – Neom.
Bubbles – For me, Lush will always be my one stop shop for pampering treats. From their brilliant bath bombs and bubble bars to their nourishing bath oils and shower gels – there really is something for everyone. Lush also offers beautifully packaged seasonal gifts sets (for every price range) which make extra special treats!
All you need is Gin – After a long week, sometimes you just can’t beat an ice cold gin – or three! My mums tipple of choice has to be a good old Gin and Tonic – Edinburgh Gin to be precise. From classic multi botanical Gins to delicious aromatic liqueurs – you are sure to find something extra special for the Gin lover in your life from this fantastic brand. Can’t make up your mind? Not to worry, Edinburgh Gin also have a selection of gift sets available over on their websites. P.s I would highly recommend the Rhubarb and Ginger and raspberry liqueurs – they are to die for.
Candles – No pamper session is complete without a scented candle burning in the background am I right? Again, I find that candles are another one of those items that people rarely treat themselves but would make a great gift. Within my roundup, I have included a few of my favourite picks on the market from beautifully packaged beauties from Anthropologie to some very special, ultra-lush alternatives from the UK’s most coveted candle brands.
The Bath Caddy – As soon as I spotted a snap of one of these genius creations on Instagram, I knew that I needed one in my life – stat. These trays – complete with book / Ipad stand, candle space and drinks holders make the ultimate pamper time companion.
Snoozin’- The gift of a good snooze. After a busy day of mum duties, I’m pretty sure that every mum out there dreams of having the perfect night’s sleep. From body balms to pillow sprays there are quite a few de-stressing, dream-inducing wonder products available. Within this roundup, I have scoured the internet and included a few of the best-rated bits on the market.
